Figure Drawing by Laura Laire
This drawing was done in a figure drawing class when I was in college. It was one of my favorite classes! Not because the models were without clothes but because I have always loved the human figure. It is my favorite landscape.
With many oil paintings hanging in my house, I still favor my simple drawings even in charcoal on newsprint. There is something about the unfinished feel, the fingerprints left on the paper and the organic nature of a bare human being. Nothing but raw beauty.
Makes me wonder what she was thinking…
What do you think was on her mind?
Love and art,
LL
