YUMMY NO-BAKE 9x SUPER FOOD BARS

superfood barsMy family is crazy about these! They’re my own version of a protein/fiber bar, but without the scary, chemical ingredients, made instead with whole SUPER FOODS! As you can see my daughter loves them. This has been a favorite after school snack.

Super foods are nutrient powerhouses that pack large doses of antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals.

Packed with fiber, protein, and natural sweetness, you can mix up the ingredients to put in your family’s faves. You might like dried fruit, extra nuts, chocolate chips instead of cacao nibs… You can see below a variation with a dark chocolate bar melted in when my son asked for a chocolate treat. It’s as easy as that, melting in about 8 squares of Trader Joe’s Pound Plus bar. I added in some sliced almonds that round as well. I have made a nut free bar and also a peanut based bar. It’s really easy to change around ingredients but keep it healthy with the flax, hemp seed and chia. I always have those in my freezer to add protein and fiber to treats, salads and baked goods.

These are great pre or post workout, or for an after-school snack, or even a dessert replacement! Enjoy

I have been craving some kind of protein/healthy snack type food for on the go moments, plus when I want something yummy…so I went right to your blog “Art of You” and printed this recipe out. I did add some extra stuff…cant help it…I follow orders like, mostly lol! Extra dried cherries, cranberries, walnuts, cinnamon, super crushed almonds. I am in love with the Hemp hearts – what a wonderful ingredient! The pan of yums is in the frig…I ate 5 bites of the warm stuff…sooo good! Thank you very much! I love your blog and food, sooo creative!
