Pain is real but so is hope

Pain is real, but so is hope.

There is never a reason why you should ponder the past unless it makes your heart sing with hope. Not that we cannot recognize tragedy and sadness but if you want to heal, you have to give your full attention to what pleases you now and let what happened be in your past.

If you have trouble finding something to feel good about today, it’s ok.

No one expects you to go from depressed to joyful but moving from depressed to hopeful sounds much better doesn’t it? Nothing can keep you trapped emotionally unless you choose it. It’s the continuing to tell the same story over and over that keeps your reliving or better re”feeling” the same torment.

Everyone has bad days, everyone has arguments and times when other people can push your buttons, make you angry or sad. And there are so many things that are out of our control like friends and family passing from this life to the next. Whether you are mourning a relationship or the death of a loved one, I know it is painful but there is hope when you are looking for it.

Hope

I use these words to move my thinking and therefore my emotions:

“I want to feel good…”

“I am already feeling better”

“I can feel a shift already, I’m on my way now”

You will get there and joy is eminent if you are looking for hope and not focused on pain.

Remember, the only thing you can control is how you feel and no matter what happens, or has happened, you can find peace. It is there for you and there is no reason to stay in pain when there is hope.

Everything in time my friend.

Love always,

Laura
