Remember to Look Up

look at the starsDon’t you hate the feeling of suffering and barely surviving through life?  Like you’ve been kicked in the stomach by the happy fairy?  Well, wallowing in in self-pity and depression seems reasonable, don’t you think?  Maybe it hasn’t happened to you but I’m pretty sure it has happened to someone you know.  What you are feeling is an excellent indicator of what you are attracting and where you are heading.

The quickest way to pull yourself out of a pit of despair is to find something to think about, imagine about, talk about, tell stories about, that makes YOU feel GOOD.  You know, those warm and fuzzy feelings!  Like mom making cookies when you were a kid, opening presents for your birthday, or remembering a wonderful vacation.  It doesn’t matter if you are remembering, experiencing or visualizing for your future, you are still attracting.

Do you like gardening, writing, singing, playing an instrument? Does walking the local park clear your head?  Watching america’s funniest home videos with a 2 and 5 year old always does it for me!  Whatever you can turn your attention to that gives you joy will begin to shift your vibration and point of attraction.  You can change your life, your health, your relationships and ultimately your life path by your thoughts…

The next time you are drowning in self-pity, look up at the clouds (or the stars if you’re a night owl) and remember how big the universe is and how small your problems are in relation to it.  Sure, things might feel overwhelmingly large in the moment, but they are small in relation to an infinite world of possibilities.  And you are powerful enough in your own mind to start living those possibilities.  Feel better, your life deserves your beautiful, creative mind in it.

Love and smiles,

LL

Lovely post! I am in the bad habit of focusing on the negative and get lost in self pity after a while of negative thinking. I know there are so many great things going for me and I just need to choose to focus on them. Thank you for this 🙂
