Farmers Market Haul

Every Saturday I go to my local farmers market to peruse the local organic produce from my favorite farmers who grow fresh, without pesticides and herbicides. (And who are down right fun to get to know.)  A few days ago, I posted about the benefits of fall foods, so check out my finds and see what I picked up!

You can’t come home in October without a pumpkin so I grabbed a couple cute little ones which I’ll roast and most likely use in a pumpkin bread, pancakes or soup.  No one around here really likes pumpkin pie but pancakes are always a hit.

I also brought home some root veggies such as rainbow carrots, sweet potatoes and beets that I’ll use in my Roasted Root Mix.  Look out for that concoction later this week!

Get inspired to make something new and fresh by shopping at your local farmers market!

Make your plate a rainbow,

-LL
