Aspartame… do you know where it’s hiding?

Image

Although millions of people consume aspartame every single day, it was never tested on humans prior to its approval.

Dr. Mercola notes that aspartame actually accounts for over 75 percent of adverse food additive reactions reported to the FDA, including:

“Headaches/migraines, dizziness, seizures, nausea, numbness, muscle spasms, weight gain, rashes, depression, fatigue, irritability, tachycardia, insomnia, vision problems, hearing loss, heart palpitations, breathing difficulties, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, loss of taste, tinnitus, vertigo, memory loss, and joint pain.”

Would you take the risk?  You shouldn’t be drinking sweet liquids all day anyway because it desensitizes your tastes buds so when you take a bite of a cookie or anything sweet it doesn’t have the same effect.  One bite should be enough because it is so sweet on the tongue.  Do you take a bite or do you eat a piece or the whole cake??

I’m sticking to my philosophy that you should EAT REAL FOOD, not chemically altered craziness!  Honey and maple are natural sweeteners and when it comes down to it, get off the sweet stuff!  At the very minimum, agave nectar, Lo-Han and Stevia are also low glycemic and plant-based.  Hey I’m not an expert but i’m not taking chances either.  How about you?

Sweet dreams,

LL
